Ctenophores are marine creatures, (pronounced “tee-no-fors”), commonly known as comb jellies, sea gooseberries or sea walnuts. They a small jelly creatures, that have a row of fused cilia that beat synchronously and propel the ctenophore through the water.
I have always had a fascination with these creatures and loved seeing them whilst diving in Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne, during my Marine Biology degree at Melbourne University.
